About Us
South Sea Horizons (SSH) have been established since June 2006 by local Rabaul boys and good friends, Kori Chan and Alan Manning. Based in the volcanic town of Rabaul in East New Britain, South Sea Horizons was developed with the objective being to develop and promote tourism for the New Guinea Islands Region.

The SSH model is driven by our ability to cater for and deliver quality tour services to our traveler. This has been achieved by creating adventure tour packages based on our intimate knowledge about our people, their culture and environment and through having an established network of tour operators, hoteliers and logistical and transport suppliers.

Streamlining the Travel Process

Our subsidiary office is located in the CBD area of Sydney (Australia). Here our team aim to provide direct access to the traveller, acting as a reliable and efficient point of call for all enquiries about our tours.
South Sea Horizons have an exclusive arrangement with Dive Adventures (Wholesale Travel Agent) and it is through this arrangement that all SSH clients receive our "One Stop Shop Service." All SSH travel bookings and payments, visas and travel insurance are conducted through our recommended travel agent. Travelling to PNG has never been so easyand efficient!

South Sea Horizons are currently involved in organising tours to PNG for Sydney and Brisbane based schools to trek the infamous Kokoda Trail aswell as participate in community oriented projects. Tourism - PNG's Future
Being a country abundantly rich in natural resources, there is the potential that one day, all of its natural beauty will one day dissappear should the tourism industry and the local people of PNG not be given the required support and encouragment needed to develop and promote tourism. In order for this to occur the local indigenous community must physically see the benefits that will come from tourism and in the longer term they must understand the economic return and potential growth that tourism can bring to the grassroot Papua New Guinean.
SSH is a green at heart and therefore we support the preservation of PNG's culture and people, the ocean and its marine life, the land and its forests. We are also realist and therefore understand the ecomonics that drive these other major industry's. Therefore we have taken on the responsibility of not only designing, promoting and selling tour packages from exisiting operators but to assist the local village communities in PNG "The Grassroot Papua New Guinean" in developing sustainable and low impact tourism products that are manageable, operated and proftable for a community based system.
