Earlier this month (June 2009) SSH's Al Manning was entertaining some of his former Waratah team mates to some great Bluewater fishing in Rabaul.

Sam Norton-Knight and father Peter travelled from Sydney and Gold Coast respectively for a weekend adventure around the gazelle before Sam flew off to Wales to join is new rugby club Ospreys. Norto was ecstatic with his trimuphant mackeral catch which he had been waiting for all trip with the fish finally hitting his line in the final minutes on the last day of the tour.

A few days later, Al Manning was out again, but this time with his other former team mate L-T and his family. They managed to get a hold of couple sizeable pelagics but the infamous billfish evaded the lure, this time around. No doubt they will be returning to Rabaul,in the not too distant future, for some unfinished business.
