Tour Description:

Dive 103 Tour (9 Days/8 Nights) is designed to assist our guest and soon to be diver to achieve their Open Water Dive accreditation during a relaxing island style escape in Rabaul, East New Britain.

The Open Water Dive Course will take 4 days and will combine both Theory and practical examination. With the dive shop situated on the resort premise our guest will not have to venture out far as they can practice directly in front of the resort.

At the conclusion of the course, the tour allows for our guest to enjoy a round trip land tour of Rabaul with the inclusion of 4 extra dives.

Accommodation:

Our guest will be accommodated at Rapopo Plantation resort. The resort has it’s own dive facilities and instructor so all dive tours are launched and ended at the resort’s beachfront. The resort facilities include luxury beach side accommodation for singles, twin share and triples and for large groups of up to 6 a house is available for hire (Please enquire through your SSH representative).

Extra Information:

Dive equipment is all provided by the Dive shop operator at the Resort and is inclusive in the dive packages. Guests are welcome to bring their own equipment.
Breakfast and lunch packs are inclusive in the package. Dinner meals are not included but can be pre booked through your SSH representative.
Our dive itinerary ensures our guest has a 4 day dive educational experience and 4 dives (post accreditaion). Tours on all three days will commence with an 8AM departure and a full day out at sea.
Vessels used are 19 ft centre console vessels, fitted out specifically for dive charters.
Water temperature in Rabaul can reach up to 28 degrees celcius so diving to 10-15 meters does not require wetsuits but they are available to our guests for hire.
The final day is a free day (Non-Diving) as our guest require 24 hours recovery before flying. A land tour, fishing or other activity can be organized through your SSH representative. (Refer to the booking form)

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Depart Brisbane to Port Moresby. Guest will be required to transit to the domestic terminal on arrival into Port Moresby; Depart Port Moresby to Rabaul. Meet and greet by SSH representative and traditional welcome reception. Guest is transferred by shuttle bus to Rapopo Plantation Resort.
Day 2: Open Water Dive Course – Day 1 (Theory)
Day 3: Open Water Dive Course – Day 2 (Theory and practical)
Day 4: Open Water Dive Course – Day 2 (Practical Test)
Day 5: Open Water Dive Course – Day 2 (Theory Test) – Diver is Accredited.
Day 6: Depart 8AM – Full Day Diving (2 Dives)
Day 7: Depart 8AM – Full Day Diving (2 Dives)
Day 8: Free Day – Available upon request is Land Tour, Golf, Fishing, Boat Day visit toDuke of York Islands or simply relax at the resort.
Day 9: Depart Rabaul to Port Moresby. Transit to International terminal for check in); SSH representative to collect group for land tour around Port Moresby – PNG Artifacts Store, Parliament House. Depart Port Moresby to Brisbane. End of Tour.

Divers will receive "Open Water" Dive accreditation in successfully completing the dive instructors module.
