This diversity, in my opinion, is a prerequisite for a great fishing destination" - Scott Thomas (Fishing World Magazine) South Sea Horizons' Rabaul Bluewater fishing expedition is a 7 day/6 Night tour that takes anglers to some of the best fishing locations around the Gazelle Peninsula. On board "Reflections" a 38 foot Riviera, our anglers will be treated to one of the most comfortable and yet exciting fishing adventures in New Guinea waters. On this tour you will spend 4 full days and 4 nights travelling up the North Coast or down along the South Coast of the Gazelle Peninsula (Seasonal - refer to Seasons below). These waters offer an opportunity to anglers to fish a variety of techniques like Gamefishing (trolling), jigging, deep sea fishing and in some areas estaury fishing for black bass. This tour takes you through some of the remote island destinations in PNG, there is a great chance to explore some of the uninhabited islands, snorkel and dive in pristine waters and untouched reefs. |
North Coast Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive in Rabaul. Meet and greet at Tokua airport by South Sea Horizons rep. Checkin to resort. |
Day 2: Depart Kokopo (early morning). Travel to Talili Islands (North Coast Bainings) and commence fishing. |
Day 3: Fishing - Jigging, Gamefishing and deep sea fishing |
Day 4: Fishing - Jigging, Gamefishing and deep sea fishing |
Day 5: Fishing - Late afternoon boat will return toward Kokopo, anchoring at Duke of York Islands for the night. |
Day 6: Return to Kokopo in the morning and checkin to resort. Land Tour around Kokopo and Rabaul. |
Day 7: Depart Rabaul - Tour END |
South Coast Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive in Rabaul. Meet and greet at Tokua airport by South Sea Horizons rep. Checkin to resort. |
Day 2: Depart Kokopo (Early morning). Travel down South Coast to Wide Bay. Commence Fishing. |
Day 3: Fishing - Bluewater |
