Kokoda Tours
South Sea Horizons and Brigade Hill Mission Tours (BHMT) have combined forces to promote local guided tours along the Kokoda Trail.
BHMT is a local Kokoda Trail trekking company owned by a cooperative of villages from Nauro village to Eora Creek. Together SSH and BHMT have designed a trekking package that places a focus on relationship building between porters and trekkers, personal attention and care for trekkers and satisfaction.

SSH-BHMT trekking package consists of 6/7/8/9 Day treks starting at Ower's Corner and finishing at Kokoda. Trekkers are given the oppotunity of choosing which itinerary would best suit their capabilities and/or groups preference. All four tour itineraries are set a fixed package price.

| Kokoda Trail - 6/7/8/9 Day trek packageAvailable for our trekker is a 6, 7, 8 , 9 Day trek along the Kokoda trail, starting from Ower's Corner and ending at Kokoda Station. Our trekking variations provide choice for the trekker as the Kokoda Trail is the ultimate challenge. SSH/BHMT group sizes start at 6 trekkers and maximum capacity is 12 trekkers. This ensures low impact trekking. |

| Special OptionsRabaul: This tour is the "Complete" World War II history tour. Rabaul town was the head quarters for the Japanese South West Pacific campaign. It had also been the base of the Australian Imperial Force - The 2nd 22nd Battalion aka "Lark Force." The Lark Force soldiers were forced to escape the invanding Japanese at the time of the Rabaul invasion in January 1942. Rabaul offers an opportunity for our trekkers to enjoy some R&R, fishing, diving and cultural experiences after the arduous trek along the Kokoda Trail. Port Moresby: This extended itinerary is designed for the avid fisherman wanting to encounter a PNG black bass or Barramundi.It allows 2-3 days of fishing at Port Moresby's - Galley Reach, Bluewater fishing (day trip only) or fishing out at Gulf Province. |
